Merry christmas mom! Knit on size 10.5 16" circular needles with Bernat Satin yarn (don't ask me the color, it was leftover yarn from a different project) this cowly was probably the easiest thing i've ever done; 150 stitches cast on with a basic knit/purl every other round. It's extra long - I twisted it in two to wear around my neck - hopefully dear mom will do the same.

who? whoooooooo?

i have several friends that freakthefvckout over owls. so when i found this pattern, i had to make it for my dear friend Holly. this was a SUPER quick knit, i finished it over two days. it's adorably easy. i'd suggest making the ribbing a bit bigger than the pattern suggested, perhaps 1.5 or 2 inches, rather than the 1.
no. more. cowls.

this is a crimmas present for my darling, ungrateful Jenny. since she abandoned knitting (for shame!), she'll never see this post. i think. anywho, you can find the pattern for this lovely cowl here . i used a worsted weight yarn and knit this on 10.5 needles for a bulky look. i think it's finished length is about 20 inches, just long enough to pull up in the back to use as a hood when the winter winds get ta blowin.
